wow.. time flies.. it's been 603 days since i last blogged.. it's cobwebs everywhere..

so many things have happened.. yet it seems like everything is the same.. since the last update, i've shifted hse, Ian's grown up, we've grown older, and the nation's birthday party had a complete makeover..

Ian. sigh, the little boy's really grown up to having quite an attitude.. throws his toys ard, throws tantrums out of nothing, and always wanna show wat strong teeth he has.. looks like i've got my work cut out teaching him rite..

hi to those who are still keeping in touch wif dis blog.. haha.. sorry for such a looong lag frm e last update.. haf been terribly busy wif the little one and other stuff..

well, today's the last day of the year.. and i guess it's a good time to do a little recap for wat happened throughout the year..

first is the arrival of Ian.. well, throughout the year, his arrival and all that he has went through has taught me quite a number of things.. like how miraculously God works, how much grace He accords to His children.. and wat a father's love is like and how blessed we are as His children.. really thank God for giving us Ian and dis chance to learn all these..

second is ministry.. having been dis ministry for almost 10 years, and dis year, i was trained to be admin for the main svc.. kinda like the epitome of the ministry.. hehe.. when i first joined in 1998, i felt that it was a calling to help bring something fresh to vide.. and i hope that i haf achieved it.. and will continue to be able to be used by Him in it.. (but after being trained, it appears that alvin n i are not being rostered for duty in dat capacity.. haha..)

oops.. it's time for me to leave office liao.. the server really pattern.. last day of the year and it decides not to do its job.. i had to wait for the other party to complete their job den i can run.. well, it appears they forgotten abt me.. and i had to call them to chk.. sigh..

hi y'all.. tis time 4 me to update on the happenings ard me again.. :)

first up, i wud like 2 thank God 4 giving me a veri veri understanding wife.. den i'd like 2 thank my wife.. y? cos she allowed me 2 get my N93 straight off e rack e moment i saw it on display @ nokia centre.. & w/o extending my contract.. so i'm really thankful 4 firstly God, den her.. :) and as u ppl might noe, e N series phones are quite ex w/o contract (tho' the trade-in of my N6680 helped) but i shall not go into how much i paid 4 it.. :p

sigh.. i was juz told dat i need to re-draw lots to determine if i need 2 be @ Expo 4 some women's fair 4 my coy.. sianz.. already warned them dat they need 2 consider setting up & packing up b4 drawing e first time rnd.. 'no need no need'.. now need 2 re-draw.. i'm really frustrated @ e stubborness & stupidity of e 'managers'.. aren't they supposed 2 b smarter n haf better organisational capabilities? i dun see it in 'em..

anyway, so now i'm @ e mercy of e lots again.. & i'm on duty on Fri 4 Live gig.. meaning if i get e lot, i'll haf 2 change 4 Sat evening lot.. argh!!!!

dat's e amt of pts dat i got for my driving test.. & yes, i passed.. by e skin of my teeth.. hehe.. thank God.. i believe if not for Him, i'll haf 2 go thru all e lessons n another test again.. e moments b4 e test was juz butterflies n butterflies in my stomach.. really couldn't get myself to settle down.. phew.. good thing i dun haf to go thru it anymore..

yez was FFFF Nite & it was juz totally draining, tho i wasn't really involved.. muz be difficult 4 e pastoral n church staff.. whole day of bbqing n cooking n prepping..

ah.. the ocean league 7-a-side soccer is over.. 5 wks of gruelling competition (for us anyway) and e dust has settled.. Reg C were e champs and Reg A II came in second.. thank God dat my team came in 5th.. best of the rest.. haha.. did a quick calculation of the table standings and realised dat overall, Reg A did e best.. altho' Reg C came in first, their other team came in first (from the other end of e table), and pulled down their average.. so i'm quite happy wif e way things turned out..

but there are some things which i find a bit saddened by.. some of the teams which were much stronger, when they faced the weaker teams, went on to thrash them by huge margins.. it doesn't do them good to score so many.. they shd haf been more respectful.. esp in 1 game when 1 of e player in the stronger team got so 'bored' in e defence, dat he began running rounds the field.. i mean, give others some respect mah.. sigh..

enuf of my griping.. back 2 e title of dis post.. my phone.. or is it?

the N93 is finally out in S'pore.. cool features like 3.2mp camera w 3x optical zoom.. WLAN.. UPNP.. direct TV out.. 3G.. but all these come at a price.. a hefty 1,388 SGD.. a big price tag 4 a heavy phone (weighing down the pocket by 180g).. WAH!!! 1k+ sian 1/2.. so ex.. now i've gotta put back buying it until it drops.. it's kinda crazy 2 buy a phone @ > 1k.. sob sob.. gotta wait some more liao.. maybe in e end, i may still not be able to get it.. wat if it doesn't drop below 1k? den it's bye bye N93.. & i'll haf 2 settle 4 e N73.. :'(

hi y'all,

went to the hosp 2day 4 e check-up on my kidney stones..

left office after lunch, took the train and a slow walk.. when i stepped into Blk 4 of SGH, a familiar face greeted me.. no it's not chee kar nee nor is it miss cheng.. it's.. mae.. haha.. she went there 2 visit her sis and juz nice, when she's leaving, i'm gg in.. exchanged some niceties n we're off.. she wif her fren n me wif my ipod..

sideshow aside.. went into e urology clinic and it was 3.20 sharp.. thank God the clinic was quite empty n waited for juz 20 min (but i still nodded off).. my turn came n went in 2 see e doc.. after a few qns, he told me to lie down and den he took dis ultrasound thingy n suddenly i felt like i'm like tresa.. checking my baby.. only it's not a 'parasite' he's looking for, but stones.. after a few swipes, he concluded.. .. ..

i need u 2 go 4 a CT scan.

wat?! wat's a CT scan? cannot see meh? - my thots..
i can't see anything in there, so i'll need a CT scan to confirm - his ans..

i'm like.. wat? can't see again.. flushed out again? hmm.. n e CT scan n next appt is in Oct/Nov.. but thank God dat it appears ok n dat i most likely wun haf 2 go 4 procedure to smash those stones.. so now i guess i'll haf to continue drinking gallons of water and watching my diet.. n can't be too dehydrated (no strenuous activity, not too much anyway :p)

ok.. 2nite gg 4 cell grp.. hope tresa will feel better.. cannot be missing too many weekday svcs.. juz rcvd her msg.. 'on my way home.. taking a cab..' hmm.. doesn't bode too well..

it's gonna be a new series on hof tonite.. and i'm totally clueless abt the program.. apprehensions on how exciting the programs' gonna be.. cos i'm the mixing engineer.. wat wif all e vids, data & cams to handle.. i'll be getting my hands full..

after that comes tmr's match wif Reg B I.. sigh.. i've been cracking my brains on how to overcome them.. should i use wings, should i go down the middle.. who shld be my target man.. who should be the striker.. shd i play longer? argh.. too many things.. now i noe y e managers are paid big bucks in EPL (other than they blowing the figures sky-high).. and if we do not win tmr.. we'll ranked 3rd or 4th.. which doesn't look too good..

hooray.. i've got a baby coming.. yeah!!!

and it's already 3 mths + wow.. time passes real quickly.. soon it'll be Christmas.. den i'll be looking forward to the birth of my baby.. Feb baby.. hee hee..

well, had a very interesting duty yesterday.. was supposed to be M.E. but adeline had something to attend to and left me in charge.. yikes.. it happened.. for real.. suddenly all the adrenaline rushed up.. 6 cams and the sermon notes.. thank God everything went smoothly.. phew.. and din do anything wrongly..

ok lah.. dat's it for today.. need to go to freshen up liao..

world cup fever kicks in.. and it's already 8 days in.. england has played 2, but really.. dun think they deserve e wins.. lethargic performance frm all round.. really doubt how far they can go dis time rnd.. i mean, the last 2 games were against weaker opponents and dis is wat they give? sigh..

well.. enuff abt england.. juz came back frm a trip 2 our northern neighbours.. wif my better half, ken n mae.. homestay @ mae's sis hse.. was a refreshing experience.. nvr did homestay b4.. always haf been hotels so.. paiseh & a bit restrictive 4 me.. e rest had more fun, esp ken.. his 'natural spa' did him oodles of gd.. haha.. cld really see him enjoying himself dat afternoon.. well, dis 'natural spa' is located in a rather quiet town of Cheras (or is it off Cheras?) and is rather cool.. maybe we s'poreans dun really haf e chance to see such things, but it was really enjoyable.. thoroughly lost track of time there.. haha..

oh.. another highlight of e trip, or highlights i shd say, is e food dat we ate thru'out e stay.. ampang yong tau foo + bak kut teh + da nasi lemak juz outside e hse of our host.. yum yum.. thank God my weight din go up after coming back.. :p

unfortunately, all good things come to an end & after 3 days in KL, we dragged ourselves back to s'pore 2 face e realities.. all praise to God dat work wasn't as bad as we expected it 2 be.. 2 wks away frm office, we thot there'd be tons of files/projects waiting 4 us.. but no such things happened.. both my missus n me were rather relieved..

wow.. dat's a lot updates for 1 posting.. hehe.. well, till next time.. think i'll catch the match @ 9pm later.. Portugal vs Iran.. predicted Portugal 2 steamroll past Iran.. hopefully it'll be enjoyable..

where haf i been? it's been ages since i blogged.. so many things haf happened since then.. some bad, some good.. i'll pass on the bad things..

Reg A won the Rounders Ocean Final.. yeah!! but i din contribute much to the victory.. in fact i caused more anxieties to the team than anyone els.. sigh.. so paiseh.. but kudos to the team for hanging in there and winning the league.. 掌声鼓励, 鼓励.. we need all the points we can lay our hands on, wat wif Reg A being last in the Youth region pts.. some 70,000 pts behind.. it's not looking good for us..

tmr's the launch of MercyMe's new CD.. wonder if Singapore will get it tmr??

went to Changi Airport yez.. wow, it's changed quite a bit there.. T2 has almost completed it upgrading.. now it's much brighter and looks more spacious.. but the viewing gallery (i heard) has been cut down in size.. wat a damper.. and now it's T1's turn.. anyway.. the food there @ the food-court's still as yummy as before.. and it's been some time we went down to Changi Airport to catch up.. it was nice..

tis e weekend again.. 5 in the afternoon.. jiani juz called me 2 ask me if i'll be gg down to SCGS to look see.. told me dat e team doesn't haf enuff ppl.. but i wun be.. wanna stay @ home & let my wound recover as much as it can.. juz now after applying some medication it's still oozing plasma.. it's a race to be ready for svc tmr.. i'm sorry jiani..

sigh.. e past week has been so boring.. i've home practically e whole wk.. from last Sun till today, i've been out only 2 c doc twice & work 1/2 day n wedding dinner on Thurs.. dat's it.. it's the longest stretch in which i've stayed @ home.. i'm bored stiff liao.. and gotta admit, my body can't take a beating anymore.. last time it healed fast whenever it's called upon.. nw.. sigh.. even e doc told me to wear pants to run.. cos we juz dun recover dat fast anymore..

tmr's Sun.. last Sun of e mth.. will we get our roster for VIDE? i'm anxious.. Apr's a hectice mth.. wif special svcs galore.. wat will i get? wat will tresa get? haf i been having it easy in Feb & Mar in so dat i can go 4 it in Apr? or dat'll be my load frm nw on?

hi y'all,

it's been quite a weekend, dis.. went for Heart.Sports and played competitively 4 e 1st time in a year.. Rounders.. a minimal contact and supposedly harmless sport.. Reg A had earlier won e Grp I game.. & it's up 2 Grp II to play.. & e team did not disappoint.. all 3 winnings & almost maximum pts.. fruitful 4 e Rounders of Reg A.. however in my earnestness to reach the 3rd base, i slid.. big mistake.. the ground was sand.. and.. and.. my left leg is now terribly hurt.. think i've hurt my ligaments.. b gg 2 c a doc tmr..

e mth of Apr.. Life.. Good Friday.. Easter Sunday.. Ps Toh Nee.. special Sunday.. busy busy.. think it's gonna strain vide 2 e max.. can we make it? can only ask God 4 strength.. & ask Him 4 souls.. cos souls r y we haf these svcs..

sigh.. missed church cos of e injury & heard from my wife dat church camp dis yr has been subsituted wif a seminar from 6-8 Jun.. man.. major downer.. has been looking forward to it since last church camp in Sunway Lagoon but it seems dat we've gotta wait 4 another yr.. wun be able to relax & chill wif frenz.. wun b able to leave my work behind.. & gotta suffer the inadequacies of s'pore's lack of chill-out places.. sigh.. & maybe e rest of e region leaders gotta prep 4 e next special event coming up in HOF.. watever dat may be..

hoho.. pls 4give me.. cob-webs everywhere.. been sometime since this blog has been updated and the spiders haf taken over.. haha.. it's been like wat? 1.5 mths? wow.. time flies..

it's into the 3rd mth of twenty-o-six & my 'resolution' to write a journal went down the drain.. *sob* *sob* and i haven't been able to keep track of my spiritual well-being (or the lack thereof).. scary.. for such a short time i can't even keep track, when it's time to meet Him, how to report? jialat..

church's emphasis this yr is heavily on missions & souls and the enemy's not too pleased abt it.. a few of my close friends and me are attacked on all fronts, in an attempt to get us to lose our focus.. and it's difficult for us cos it's areas that so affects us.. it's definitely a struggle for us to keep our focus on God and His commission..

4 me, it was yez.. my coll made sure my back was drenched wif my blood during her meeting wif our manager.. and it made my whole day miserable.. my bp was up there thru'out the day.. and even dinner b4 cell grp was bland.. but.. i thank God that the cell grp helped lift up my spirits and reminded me that He is our Commander-in-Chief.. and we can always look to Him.. even our worship, which has been dry for quite a while, was refreshing.. 4 dat i give thanks..

haha.. today's supposed to be an easy day to pass, last day of the week and manager's not around.. but lo and behold.. our server decides to go on strike today.. calls and queries keep flooding in.. sigh.. wat a morning..

hello, it's been sometime since i blogged.. hmm.. seems like the fever is waning.. but i'll try to keep going..

a certain part of Wed's cell teaching caught my attention.. to keep a journal of our spiritual walk, jotting down everything dat happened.. i've been thinking of keeping a journal for some time, but haven't got down to the business (wif my records of trying to keep this going, can't imagine wat it would be like keeping 2).. but then again, kiping 1 wld allow me 2 noe wat's my condition like.. ups n downs.. even juz 4 record keeping.. think i'll get it started..

today's HOF and i'm on duty.. :p hopefully i can do a good job 2day.. tresa's oso on duty @ data.. i'll try to guide her, but wif the new format, i dunno if i'll haf e time to.. i'm oso thinking of giving the newbies a short refreshers' course on camera & camerawork.. hope they wld arrive on time.. so that i can haf time 4 them..

muahaha.. it's been a long time since i last updated this page.. have not been in office since 30th Dec.. therefore no blog.. :p

1st of Jan thru 4th Jan was spent in the bungalow in Tanah Merah.. :p a huge chalet in SAFRA resort.. was supposed to check out on the 5th, but we decided it was too rushed and left on the 4th.. actually wanted to haf a grp of friends to be there and celebrate my b'day and haf some gd catching up.. but in the end, only a few turned up.. :'( altho' the turnout wasn't as gd as i expected, it was still fun.. jessica, joanne and christine made their way from Yishun to join us.. marcus too.. really appreciate their efforts..

watched the Vision videos put up by the different regions.. was really surprised @ Reg C's offering.. it was really quite hap-hazardly done (by their standards) .. whereas ours was awarded bonus pts.. kudos to Ps Alan & the team..

hmm.. CNY is coming.. and so is my dad's anniv..

really gets me thinking.. the traffic these few days are so light, are there anybody working out there? even the lunchtime crowd in Shenton is thin.. normally i'll haf to queue for the porridge dat i had yez, but the owner was like standing there staring into blank space.. ha.. one of his off days..

y dun companies take a rest and give the employees a break after a gd yr of work.. :p *yawn* dat was a nice nap.. haha..

tonite we're gg 2 Mushroom Pot @ Indoor Stadium, someone's giving a treat.. yeah!! (something to look forward 2 4 dis 'long', dreary week.. definitely no mood to work) looking forward to the company @ e dinner.. small grp, hopefully can work something out 4 e other couple..

hmm.. MercyMe's songs seem quite nice.. esp I Can Only Imagine & Cannot Say Enough.. I Can Only Imagine's MTV is really nicely done.. scenes of persons holding up pix of their loved ones.. i guess they would be e pix of the departed.. it's really nice.. simple n warm.. and seriously, i can only imagine wat we would be doing when the Lord's Day comes, when the trumpet blows..

wow.. the Christmas period is over juz like dat.. something dat i've been looking forward to juz flew by me.. muz really seize every moment..

Retro Christmas 2 was as fun.. the fashion was outrageous and the MTVs 'remisciently revolting'.. Reg B won it and deservedly so.. the feel was juz 80s.. ours was entertaining but did not fit into the 80s conceptual-wise.. sigh..

Was really upset on Christmas day.. supposed to go to Rita's hse & play games n catch up.. but their meeting again dragged until 2+.. by then we were sapped of energy liao.. add 2 dat some had to leave early, da outing turned out 2 be a non-event.. den when on the way home, still had to suffer the short-comings of our 'world-class' transport systems.. taxis were mostly hired, those dat weren't were hired magically w/o picking up passengers.. the buses were routed to River Valley Rd from Orchard Rd cos of the closure.. so either the services stop or dun stop @ the bus-stop.. but no, some drivers decided to stop, other gave it a miss.. and i'm tokking abt same service.. wat is dis?!

thank God, the outing @ nite saved the day.. went out wif meng & mae, wif mae driving us ard in her BIL's Kangoo.. went from ECP to Changi to open Christmast prezzies to Expo to Geylang for supper.. den after dat, came to our hse to look @ our photos.. ended @ 3, tiring but at least had enjoyable time..

as for how batman & charlie came to be.. haha.. went to Alvin's hse on Boxing Day to be couch potato for a day.. watched Batman Begins & Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, nice shows.. and pizza from Pelican Pizza.. yum yum.. better than Pizza Hut's.. and then it's home to watch EPL.. Man U is becoming more like Man U.. but still far from the time when they were dominating the EPL.. and will the officials please stop siding wif Chelsea.. give e penalty, send off their wayward players.. argh!!!

Home Christmas cum bro's Graduation Dinner

yez's Home Christmas was something new for me.. some of the guests were quite late, so the cell host decided to get the children to play some games to keep the early birds occupied.. and guess wat.. i was asked to be the facilitator.. *gasp* i nvr did dis kinda things b4.. major shock.. but thank God, the games went well..

den came the worship.. hmm.. our worship was rather different from the rest of the time.. sing 2 songs, break, sing 1 song, break to get the kids to sing louder (the louder grp wins prizes), sing 1 song, break, other guests finally arrived, den repeat the 4th song.. wow.. super caught off-guard by my cell leader and host..

man.. it's Thurs!! today's my bro's graduation dinner.. it's a dinner @ the PA's Senior Police Officer's Mess.. finally, his training's ended and he'll be starting work in Feb (enjoying a month's break in Jan).. really thank God for carrying him thru' the training even tho he has to handle the loss and being away from home.. he's always wanted 2 be a police officer, now he's commissioned.. :D

and tmr's Retro 2 and .. and .. sigh .. no 80s wear still.. odd one out again??

sumptuous sushi lunch

hehe.. my manager gave us a treat.. a Christmas treat.. 2 trays of sushi and 1 log cake.. yum yum.. but it being sushi, could only fill my stomach for a shorter time than the normal fare.. now my stomach's growling..

thank God that my hands are getting better.. not as much needles pricking as before.. still need prayers and medicine.. :p i've really gotta watch my body and health.. no more rampant eating..

tonite be gg to get present for ck.. it's his b'day in roughly 10 days' time.. after which would be Servant's.. haha.. funny our b'days should be so close..

and tmr's Home Christmas.. finally managed to get the worship songs out.. 5 songs.. 2 in chinese too.. hopefully the cell knows the new song.. :p

sigh.. can only look forward to the half-day leave after on Fri.. but but.. no retro clothes.. jialat.. sabo ps qb liao..

back to work.. the weekend was over in a flash.. man.. wished it could've been longer..

Sat came and went.. Deck e Halls was tiring.. i tried my best to find good shots but the crowd wasn't very cooperative this year :p totally lost @ the games part.. add to that the site constraints, i couldn't get any decent shots in.. feel so bad..

den came Sun.. PTZ.. haiz.. couldn't reach the standards i set for myself.. wanted to be able to get some good shots, but i juz wasn't up to it.. looks like i've gotta buck up some more.. but it was fun.. and more relaxed than doing data.. tresa commented that i dun look nearly as tired as i was doing data.. hehe..

well, i'll haf to stop here for a while.. my stomach's calling for my breakfast.. better get that in first.. if not, it'll protest again..

oh ya, Arsenal lost.. sianz.. cos Chelsea won..

today woke up to a piece of good news.. man u won!! finally.. they kept a clean sheet after so long and knocked 4 past the opponents.. it's been a long time coming but can they keep it up? against Aston Villa this Sat.. early match.. they dun do well for these slots.. juz hope they dun lose again.. haiz..

there'll be an IPP exercise for my company's bldg today.. In-Place Protection.. and i'm the warden again!! sianz.. always the extra things i haf to do.. why me?!

thank God there's something i can look forward to.. it's Deck e Halls on Sat.. still waiting for instructions on wat time to reach and where to go but the excitement is mounting.. after that is Sun.. mackie's putting his paws on the mixer and i'll be playing some 'ah-do-gen' wif the PTZs.. after that is rest during 11am svc.. hope i can do well and capture good shots on both occasions..

cold office, freezing me

man.. this office is real cold.. or is it me? i think i'm falling sick, hiding under a jacket and still my hands are cold.. and the taste in my mouth.. u know the kind that u get when u're sick.. oh God, dun let me fall sick now.. it's a hectic couple of weeks.. my first step

well, finally got myself started on blogging. hopefully i'll get around to doing it often enuff to keep it relevant. Well, yesterday posted a new challenge for me.

Mixing in Promise. Sure beats the stress of being on data. Was expecting it to be so stressful that i would not haf the energy to go out after Sun svc, like when doing data. But, after the duty, i was still raring to go.. haha..

This weekend's gonna be hectic again.. Deck e Halls on Sat and PTZ on Sun, even tho juz 1 svc.. think this one's gonna be one tough one (altho nothing can be much tougher than data liao)..

Called Frankie and he's not free today and that leaves me wif tmr to go for the haircut.. oh well, join the lady to watch Last Exile tonite then.. and skip the EPL highlights.. sianz, Man U drew again..
